The Donaldson Foundation is the primary instrument of Donaldson Company, Inc. for our charitable contribution efforts. We are a participant in the Minnesota Keystone Program, giving 2% of our pre-tax net domestic earnings to charity. Overall, the Donaldson Foundation strives to make a meaningful impact in its gift commitments.

A Focus On Education and Self-sufficiency
A couple of years ago when the Donaldson Foundation restructured, the Directors chose to focus the gift giving. The decision was made that gift commitments would be limited in number to provide a more meaningful impact.
They also decided to direct their organizational gifts in two key areas: Education at all levels and Organizations focused on assisting the transition towards economic self-sufficiency.

Grant Guidelines
Only grant applications in the focus areas as previously described will be considered.
The Donaldson Foundation limits its support to local or regional agencies and programs in those communities where Donaldson employees live and work.
All grant recipients must qualify for tax exemption by the IRS. Proof will be required.
Please introduce your organization to us by sending a brief letter that describes your program and how it fits into our focus. Requirements will be reviewed quarterly. Should we decide to consider your organization further, a formal proposal will be required.
