Specific cycling dryer features include:
- Microprocessor-based controllers programmed to measure and respond to critical operating parameters and anticipate demand, which allows the Donaldson RFC Series dryer (200 – 650 scfm) to proactively encounter load changes and adjust operating cycle to avoid dew point spikes.
- The Ultrapulse controller offers modes of operation, depending on the needs of the process and changes in ambient conditions: Standard Mode (38ºF pressure dew point (pdp)), Summer Mode (45ºF pdp), and Flex Mode developed to address applications set at relative humidity levels versus a set dew point. All prevent liquid condensation from forming in the piping system and provide increased energy savings.
- Utilizing digital scroll technology, Donaldson’s DVF Series dryer (800 – 2,000 scfm) modulates between 10% and 100% capacity thereby increasing efficiency and reliability while reducing vibration during operation.
Donaldson uses only R-134a, an environment-friendly, 100% chlorine-free refrigerant as standard in all refrigerated compressed air dryers. The R-134a is a one-blend refrigerant, easy to service and consistent in performance.
All Donaldson dryers are designed to provide the highest level of value available in the industry – reliable performance to CAGI ADF 100 specifications while consuming the lowest amount of energy possible.
