FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DONALDSON EXPANDS DEFENCE SALES PRESENCE IN EUROPE

HULL, UK – August 30, 2007 – Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, is increasing the company's focus on Aerospace and Defence products in European markets by expanding its sales presence in the region.

For more than 80 years, Donaldson has designed and manufactured filters and exhaust systems for extreme environments. These products have been used worldwide in the roughest military applications, including filtration solutions for air, lube, oil, fuel, transmission and hydraulic fluids, as well as those which reduce noise, exhaust and emissions. The breadth and depth of the Donaldson product application include:

  • Tactical and support vehicles
  • Wheeled and tracked combat vehicles
  • Fixed wing aircraft
  • Rotary wing aircraft
  • Amphibious and marine craft
  • Replacement filters

Managing this business in Europe is Pierre Habran, Director of Aerospace and Defence, Donaldson. Named to this position in August 2007, his responsibilities include the development and coordination of the various Defence business initiatives throughout Europe. Habran has held various sales and management positions since joining the company in 1995. Since 2005, he has managed the Le Bozec acquisition and integration, thereby increasing European defence activities with ground and aerospace customers. Habran is a chemical engineer who graduated from the Brussels (B) University.

Leading the Donaldson's European defence sales presence is Colin J. Andreoli. Andreoli joined Donaldson's UK office in March 2007 after 22 years with domnick hunter Ltd., where he served as European Business Development Manager responsible for expanding the company's military business in Europe and supporting the company's sales offices in Canada, USA and Australia for more than 20 years.

"Donaldson has been strong in aerospace and defence filtration applications for many years," said Sheila Peyraud, General Manager of Aerospace and Defense at Donaldson. "Our reputation for engineering, innovation and aggressively meeting military standards has won Donaldson a position as a premiere supplier for defence industries worldwide. With the expansion of our sales team in the UK, our goal is to further expand our market share to become the worldwide leader in filtration solutions for defence applications."

Donaldson's technology expertise also offers defence customers a breadth of solutions to meet their specific requirements. Examples include:

  • PowerCore™ Filter Technology – a compact, high-performance air filtration solution using straight-through airflow and high-density filtration to reduce system restriction and extend the filter life thereby reducing overall maintenance costs.
  • Ultra-WebŪ Nanofiber Filtration – nanofiber filtration causes submicron contaminant to load on the surface of a filter rather than dispersing throughout the depth of the filter media where there is less area for air flow. Ultra-Web filters hold up to five times more contaminants than cellulose filters, providing superior engine protection and extending filter service intervals.
  • Pulse Jet Air Cleaners (PJACŪ) – PJAC is a self-cleaning filtration system for the most demanding environmental conditions giving optimal reliability and reduced fuel consumption.
