DONALDSON® TORIT® MIST COLLECTOR WINS 2007 AFS ENGINEERING MERIT AWARD

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – June 13- Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE:DCI), a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, has received the 2007 Engineering Merit Award from the American Filtration & Separations Society for its Donaldson Torit WSO Mist Collector. The award was presented to Donaldson at the AFS Annual Conference on May 20, 2008 in Valley Forge PA.

AFS states that its intention is to honor new products and ideas that result in innovative and/or technological advances in filtration and separation. The awards program gives public recognition and appreciation for the continuing efforts of the filtration industry to create products that enhance the entire global community. There are two awards annually: The New Product Award and the Engineering Merit Award.

“We are delighted to have been selected by the American Filtration & Separations Society as a leader in engineering for our WSO Mist Collector,” said Frank Friedmann, product manager at Donaldson. “Recognition, such as the 2007 Engineering Merit Award is an acknowledgement to our employees around the world and their commitment to our mission and values. On behalf of Donaldson, I extend thanks to the AFS for awarding our company and recognizing our technology.”

Designed to remove oily airborne mist from industrial processes, the Donaldson Torit WSO is the company’s next generation mist collector, different from others in both housing design and filter media. The WSO uses a new Donaldson developed filter media called Synteq® XP.

“The Synteq XP achieves significantly longer filter life due to its unique ability to coalesce and drain mist and smoke,” said Friedmann. “The WSO gives the customer cleaner plant air with minimal maintenance and a lowest total cost of ownership. “

WSO Mist Collectors capture water-soluble process coolant mist, straight oil lubricant mist, or oil-laden smoke that can pollute breathing air and cause slippery floor conditions in factories. WSO is the only mist collector available that accommodates all three applications - water, smoke, oil - by simply changing the filter cartridge to match the mist type.

WSO mist collectors are available in a range of sizes - from small units for individual machines to large centralized units - thus giving manufacturers flexibility in creating a simplified solution with lowest total cost of ownership. Principle applications include wet process such as machining, turning, cutting, forming, grinding, quenching, asphalt production, and rubber processing.

Donaldson Torit designs, manufactures, and markets in-plant air filtration and pollution control systems and replacement filters that help control dust, fume, and mist contaminants in manufacturing and process environments. Using dust and particulate filtration research and development programs unique within the industry, Donaldson Torit offers a broad line of collectors from central, source, and ambient systems to baghouse, envelope, and cartridge technologies, and a full line of replacement filters and parts. Donaldson Torit is a part of the Donaldson Company, a leading worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems.
