DONALDSON LAUNCHES PJAC™ ULTRA® SELF CLEANING AIR CLEANER ON FREIGHTLINER M915 MILITARY TRUCK

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – December 7, 2009– Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, is pleased to announce that the company's Pulse Jet Air Cleaner - the PJAC™ Ultra® - has been selected by Freightliner Trucks, a division of Daimler Trucks North America LLC, to be installed on the M915A5 6X4 Military Tractor, which begins production in January 2010.

The Donaldson PJAC Ultra is a self-cleaning engine air intake system. The system uses controlled pulses of compressed air to automatically clean the intake filter. The PJAC Ultra reduces life-cycle costs for M915 users by significantly decreasing the need for replacement filters and simultaneously increasing vehicle performance and mission capability. Designed with Donaldson Ultra-Web® nanofiber filtration technology, the PJAC Ultra self cleaning air cleaner provides the highest level of efficiency – 99.997+% – and has a filter life of greater than 200 hours. The PJAC Ultra has been field tested and proven in harsh, high dust environments.
"PJAC Ultra eliminates the need for an operator to stop a critical mission to change the air filter. Before becoming clogged, the air cleaner automatically cleans itself. "Field testing has shown that PJAC Ultra technology reduces service intervals by more than 10 times compared to conventional air cleaners – dramatically reducing service requirements in harsh environments."
PJAC Ultra is scalable to meet customer space requirements. Donaldson technology is suitable for a variety of vehicles and applications, such as HMMWV, JLTV, tactical and armored combat vehicles and retrofit opportunities.
