FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DONALDSON SUPPLIES AIR FILTRATION FOR LOCKHEED MARTIN EQ-36 RADAR SYSTEM

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – June 23, 2010 – Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, announced today that the Lockheed Martin Enhanced AN/TPQ-36 Counterfire Target Acquisition Radar System (EQ- 36) will use Donaldson air filtration technology. The EQ-36 protects troops by detecting close-in mortar attacks and long-range cannon and rocket fire using a rapidly transportable radar system. Donaldson air filtration technology filters the air used to cool critical electronics.

The EQ-36 design includes Donaldson's patented Strata™ Tube filtration technology. Donaldson Strata Tubes utilize inertial force to spin dust and other contaminants out of the air stream and deliver clean air downstream. The Strata Tubes are maintenance-free, highly efficient and low weight. They have no moving parts to wear out or break, which eliminates the need for spare parts, reduces logistical requirements and lowers the EQ-36 life-cycle costs. The custom designed EQ-36 Strata panels are included in the antenna and the pedestal systems of the radar.

“Donaldson Strata Tubes are ideal for military applications that require maintenance-free, light weight, and high efficiency filtration in the harshest environments,” said Sheila Peyraud, General Manager for Donaldson Aerospace and Defense. “With a flexible design, our Strata Tubes are used on many diverse military platforms including the Abrams Tank and Blackhawk Helicopter. We are pleased to have our proven Strata Tube technology incorporated in the new EQ-36 radar platform.”

Sixteen new EQ-36 systems will be delivered to the Army's Program Executive Office – Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors – under a design and development contract awarded to Lockheed Martin in January 2007. The first radar system was delivered to the U.S. Army in June 2009; the final units will be delivered by fall 2010.
