FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DONALDSON SUPPLIES CABIN AIR FILTERS FOR NEW EMBRAER LEGACY JETS

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – July 21, 2010 – Donaldson Aerospace and Defense, a division of Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), announced today that the company has been selected by Embraer (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A. - NYSE: ERJ), one of the world's largest manufacturers of jets for the commercial, executive and defense markets, as the supplier of cabin air filters for the new midlight Legacy 450 and midsize Legacy 500 executive jets. Shipments are expected to begin in 2012.

Embraer selected Donaldson for its strong track record of providing high quality filtration systems for aircraft, offering a combination of superior filtration technology and industry leading global product support.

Embraer will offer a Donaldson High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration system which provides improved cabin air quality when compared to traditional executive jet models that typically don't use recirculation filters. Donaldson HEPA filters trap dust, lint, pollen, smoke, bacteria, viruses, spores and other contaminants resulting in a clean and comfortable environment for the crew, passengers, equipment and other critical systems.

"The use of HEPA filtration on board executive aircraft is a growing trend," commented Sheila Peyraud, General Manager of Donaldson Aerospace & Defense. "We're very pleased to have been selected by Embraer to help improve the air quality on board the new Legacy 450 & 500 aircraft models."

About the Legacy 450 & Legacy 500

Based on concepts presented in 2007 and formally launched in 2008, the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 set new paradigms in their categories. These aircraft will have the largest and quietest cabins in their classes. A flat-floor stand-up (6-foot) cabin, excellent pressurization and vacuum lavatories are other highlights of the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500, complementing their superior performance and low operating costs. The jets will be the only ones in their segments equipped with cutting-edge fly-by-wire electronic flight controls.

The Legacy 500 will carry up to twelve passengers. It is designed for a range of 3,000 nautical miles (5,560 km) with four passengers plus NBAA IFR fuel reserves. These characteristics will allow customers to fly nonstop from New York to Los Angeles, in the U.S. or from Moscow (Russia) to Mumbai (India).

Development work on the Legacy 450 and the Legacy 500 is ongoing at Embraer and suppliers' facilities. The first flight is on schedule to occur in the second half of 2011.

As one of the world's largest suppliers of aircraft cabin air filters, Donaldson's portfolio includes OEM and FAA/PMA approved air, fuel, oil and hydraulic filters for Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and Embraer commercial aircraft, including several executive jet models.
