DONALDSON INTRODUCES THE SECOND GENERATION OF ITS REVOLUTIONARY POWERCORE™ AIR FILTRATION TECHNOLOGY AT 2008 CONEXPO/CON-AG SHOW

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – March 11, 2008 – Heavy-duty truck and off-road equipment manufacturers demand compact, high-performance air filtration solutions. Donaldson Company, (NYSE:DCI), a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, is pleased to introduce Donaldson PowerCore™ G2, the next generation of Donaldson PowerCore Filtration Technology. PowerCore G2 is designed with a
30 percent smaller footprint with the same straight-through airflow and high-density filtration system as the “original” PowerCore, hence Big Performance, Small Footprint. Donaldson Engine Systems & Parts will unveil the new PowerCore G2 filtration technology at the 2008 ConExpo-Con/Agg Show in Las Vegas in March.
PowerCore G2 can provide a matrix of performance advantages, including smaller size, lower pressure drop and longer filter life or a combination of the three depending on customer under-hood space and performance requirements.
PowerCore G2 features include:
- Industry-proven technology based on over 10 years of “original” PowerCore manufacturing experience and over 5 million units found in medium- and heavy-duty engine applications.
- Panel, round and obround shaped air intake systems that can be customized to meet a wide spectrum of performance, size, shape and space constraints.
- Utilization of Donaldson’s Ultra-WebŪ Nanofiber Filtration technology, a proven filter media with over 25 years in heavy-duty industrial air filtration applications and more than 1 billion square feet of media sold.
- Environmentally friendly with its compact, metal-free, cartridge-style design that traps contaminants inside the structure.
- Long life and higher initial efficiency for superior diesel engine protection.
