DONALDSON OPENS AN ENGINE FILTRATION MANUFACTURING FACILTY IN BRAZIL
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – November 11, 2008 – Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, announced today the opening of the company's new manufacturing facility in Atibaia City, São Paulo, Brazil.
In 2006, Donaldson opened a sales office in Brazil to support many of its global customers. In 2007, the company determined that opening a manufacturing facility in this region would provide improved customer support and reduce costs associated with the importing of products from other locations. The new 30,000 square foot facility will primarily produce air filtration products such as air cleaners and air elements for the engine and vehicle markets.
Strategically located only 60km (37 miles) from São Paulo City and 35km (21 miles) from Campinas, Atibaia City is at the center of the country's network of federal and state highways, conveniently located near both customers and suppliers.
