DONALDSON TOPSPIN PRE-CLEANER SELECTED AS EQUIPMENT WORLD 2009 TOP PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – January 26, 2010 –Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), a leading worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, announced today that Equipment World magazine has named the Donaldson TopSpin™ pre-cleaner to the publication's 2009 top product introduction list included in the December 2009 edition.

The new and improved TopSpin pre-cleaner is manufactured with a stronger polypropylene cover material to withstand greater vibration and with an improved internal blade mechanism to protect and extend bearing life. The pre-cleaner separates up to 85 percent of all incoming contaminants and more than 99 percent of particles 20 micron or larger, which significantly extends intake filter element life.
The Donaldson TopSpin pre-cleaner has the lowest restriction of any competitive brand tested, including the Donaldson full-view pre-cleaner. Low restriction means the engine "breathes" easier. This lightweight, self-cleaning/self-scavenging model can be mounted horizontally or vertically, is easily installed with only one clamp to tighten, and requires no maintenance. The lower air filter usage and no maintenance feature of the TopSpin pre-cleaner increase machine up-time and reduce overall operating costs.
According to Equipment World, the editorial staff receives numerous new product releases each month for which they select seven to ten for the Marketplace. Specific criteria used in selecting the top new product introductions include relevance to readers, contribution to construction and advancement of individual product lines.
