FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DONALDSON MEMBRANES, TAKES INDUSTRIAL FILTRATION TO A NEW LEVEL: TETRATEX 2

Donaldson Membranes (Ivyland, PA), an advanced materials division of Donaldson Company, makers of the Tetratex® brand of membrane filtration media, announces an update on their advanced generation of membrane products for Industrial Filtration - Tetratex 2. Tetratex 2 is different from standard membrane technology in that it allows for a higher air flow while maintaining the same efficiency.

The typical customer profile for Tetratex 2 is one who is sold on the benefits of standard membrane, but is proactive in trying to further optimize the system. The net results are; higher air flow, longer bag life, cost reduction while maintaining the same efficiency.

Tetratex 2 is applied currently to polyester and aramid felts for pulse-jet process applications. Currently Donaldson Membranes is developing Tetratex 2 applications to homopolymer acrylic and PPS felts as customers look to further optimize their investments in membrane technology.

Targeted applications for Tetratex 2 are process-related, where an incremental increase in airflow over standard membrane will yield an incremental increase in production. Specific application examples are cement finish mills and milk spray dryers, amongst others. Tetratex 2 is readily available from the bag manufacturer of your choice and will further maximize your investment in membrane technology as an increasingly more cost-effective alternative to conventional medias.
