TETRATEX® MEMBRANE ON WOVEN PTFE GAINS MARKET SHARE
Donaldson Membranes, (Ivyland PA), an advanced materials division of Donaldson Company, Inc., announces Tetratex membrane on all PTFE woven products as a cost-effective alternative to competitive membrane on all PTFE needlefelts. These Tetratex high-performance industrial filtration media, available in roll goods to bag manufacturers, are used for the most demanding baghouse applications for air pollution control and product recovery.
Tetratex 7008 is an aggressively priced, high value, lightweight premium product (9 opsy) that is particularly suited to industries where contamination of the product in contact with the media may occur, and is suitable for use in shaker and reverse air filter applications. Penetrated markets include fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals and smelting.
Tetratex 7012 is an aggressively priced, high value, heavyweight premium product (20 opsy) that is particularly suited to hot gas filtration applications where extreme chemical conditions are present, and are suitable for use in pulse-jet applications. Penetrated markets include TiO2, Catalysts, and Incineration.
Both products are manufactured from 100% PTFE resin, a chemically inert substance approved by the FDA, with a continuous operating temperature of 260° C. Woven PTFE is the most chemically inert media available, along with the highest resistance to mechanical flex fatigue. With the added benefit of membrane surface filtration, Tetratex delivers exceptional cake release and efficiency, resulting in lower pressure drop, higher air flow, extended cleaning cycles, and near zero emissions.
