How to use Product Search
The new DYNAMIC makes it easier to find products with enhanced search capabilities by cross reference numbers, application data, product attributes, and product categories (also called hierarchy). Products can also be found by using the search function from Donaldson’s public web site of www.donaldson.com.
Search Functions:
Cross Reference Search:
To search by Cross Reference, click on the Cross Reference link. In the Cross Reference Search page, enter competitive item numbers to search by. Then click Search.
In the example above, Cross Reference Search was done for Item # B6 and returned DCI Item # P550035.
Application Search:
To search for products by equipment and vehicle applications, click on the Application link. In the Application Search page, enter various search parameters in the first, second and third column list of value drop downs, including:

First column:
- Application
- Component Attributes
- Component Manufacturer
- Equipment Model Year
- Item Description
- Item Number
- OEM Equipment Model
- Original Equipment Manufacturer.

Second column:
- Is Not
- Less Than
- Is
- Greater Than
- Contains
- Ends With
- Starts With.
|
Third column:
- Click on the options button on the right for a list of options.

Then click Search.
The example above found 11 item numbers by searching on:
Equipment Model Year is 1999
Item Description contains Air Primary
Component Manufacturer starts with Chev
Item Number starts with P536
Note: Each additional parameter searched by further narrows the search.
Attribute Search:
To search for products attributes, click on the Attribute link. In the Attribute Search page, first select a Catalog Group.
Then enter various search parameters in the first column from the list of value drop downs. Next specify attribute data in the second column from the options list obtained by clicking on the Options button on the right. Finally, click Search.
In this example, the Catalog Group is Lube Filters and the Attribute searched for is A – OD (inches) of 3 inches.
Category Search:
To search for products by a Product Category, click the links on the left side of the page through different sub categories until the specific part is found.
Catalog Data:
Once your product is found, the Product Detail page in the catalog provides the Part Number, Description, Product Attributes (dimensions), and Package Dimensions. Links are also provided to pull up Application Data and Product Line Drawings, as well as to enlarge the image.
If you are signed into DYNAMIC, you will also see appropriate pricing with the ability to add to the cart from the Product Detail page.
www.donaldson.com Search:
Part numbers can also be searched from the general Donaldson web site using the Search field in the upper right hand corner. The results containing the orange highlighted part number will link to the Product Detail page for the product.
