We understand that transmission and gearbox applications can have different pressure requirements and filter assembly configurations. That’s why Donaldson offers convenient bowl and cartridge filter assemblies as well as a wide range of spin-on assembly options.

For medium-pressure applications, our FLK range offers standard reusable housing and replaceable cartridge filter options. Bowl and cartridge configurations are low-cost, low-waste options that are also highly durable assemblies. Servicing these assemblies typically requires just the cost of a filter, and some feature incinerable options.

If you need filter assemblies for pressurized flows, return lines, or suction applications, we also offer a wide range of spin-on assemblies and filters for low- and medium-pressure applications.

Medium-Pressure Bowl and Cartridge Assemblies

The Donaldson FLK assembly features a disposable cartridge in a tough, reusable aluminum housing. Multiple housing lengths accommodate the versatile filter head, and raised hand grips mean no special servicing tools are required. A cleaner, easier service is possible thanks to an oil drain port on the bottom of the housing, and the filter tabs lock into place – simplifying positioning during reassembly.

Harmful ingress contaminants and cross-contamination are kept out of transmission fluid due to a unique sealing technology that combines an oil seal with a dust seal. The combination seal provides significant system protection as it prevents contaminants and oil leakage. Sealing surface area is increased due to the robust connection of the RadialSeal™ interface that resists vibration and provides advanced filter performance. Better pressure drop and contaminant holding capacity can also be achieved by incorporating Donaldson Synteq XP™ media technology into the filter.

Medium-Pressure Standard Spin-on Assemblies

Proven and reliable Donaldson Duramax® filters are long-lived and easy to install. What’s more, they are the highest-rated spin-on filters available in the medium-pressure category. Duramax filters provide enhanced protection for system components. Heads are die-cast or sand-cast assemblies to allow for easy system integration. Donaldson has a range of heads, housing, and media options so you can choose the right combination for your needs.

Duramax G3 is all about cleanliness. The filter is manufactured in a clean environment, and this cleanliness lasts through shipping, installation, and replacement. This means the Duramax G3 provides exceptional protection for your application throughout its lifetime. Original HMK Duramax® Series

Having nearly twice the capacity of many competitive filters doesn’t mean the HMK Series Duramax spin-on filters are twice as big. These die-cast aluminum head filters are physically smaller than traditional housing/cartridge filter assemblies and eliminate leakage using a unique radial seal O-ring gasket design.

With a simple interface, the HMK original Duramax filters can be easily integrated into a wide range of equipment applications. The single (HMK03, HMK04, and HMK05) or dual (HMK24 and HMK25) heads and filters offer proven performance under medium-pressure conditions.

A full range of media options is available, using Donaldson’s exclusive Synteq™ synthetic media designed especially for liquid filtration. The exact indicator types and bypass options can also be selected to suit each application.

Low-Pressure Standard Spin-on Assemblies

Low-pressure filters are commonly used in lubrication and cooling circuits for transmissions. Our low-pressure filters are rated for working pressures up to 1 to 10 bar (15 to 150 psi), and in-line configurations are available to suit a wide range of applications.

Donaldson low-pressure spin-on assemblies have multiple features that make it easy to find the right assembly for your equipment. Various styles and port sizes are available for sensors, switches, and valves, and the assemblies also feature integrated mounting brackets. A variety of media options, including Synteq XP media technology, provide tailored filtration performance. A broad range of package sizes is available, along with custom design options.
