With such a broad range of modular fuel filtration solutions for both primary and secondary applications, including multiple head and filter choices, Donaldson can recommend the perfect system to meet your performance and water-removal requirements, often using our standard selections.

To accommodate required flow rates for virtually any engine or application size, we’ve structured our modular component selection around head and filter sizes. For higher-horsepower (kW) applications, we recommend multiple assemblies in parallel to accommodate higher flows and reduce restriction.

For primary fuel filter water separator applications, we offer a number of modular options designed to make fuel/water management efficient in any situation.

• Synteq™ DRY – real-world water removal over the life of the filter; multi-stage coalescing media for removal of both coarse and emulsified water
  
• Synteq XP™ – real-world engine protection and longer filter life; synthetic fiber media for greater filtration efficiency and optimal engine protection
• Synteq™ – synthetic media for emulsified water separation in primary filtration applications
• Cellulose – cost-effectively meets application efficiency and capacity requirements

Standard or Customized Filter Assembly Options

We offer spin-on style filter assemblies in standard size configurations for use in a variety of fuel filtration systems. We offer a full range of sizes, including 76 mm, 93 mm, 108 mm and 118 mm filter diameter options. Our modular fuel filter design options include:

• Filter style: Spin-on fuel filters
• Heads: aluminum
• Porting: varies by filter size
• Hand priming pump for 93 and 108 mm sizes
• Heaters: PTC heater option for 108mm heads;  93mm and 118mm available with lead times

In addition to these standard spin-on choices, we also have extensive experience in designing custom fuel filtration systems for a wide range of unique applications. If you’re an OEM who prefers to source their own assemblies, we’re also a supplier of cartridge filter elements.
