Medium or High-Pressure Applications Are No Problem for Our Range of Durable, Low-Waste, In-Line Bowl and Cartridge Assemblies

If you’re searching for an assembly that’s highly durable, Donaldson standard in-line bowl and cartridge configurations can meet multiple needs. Our assemblies produce less waste with filter changeout (some with incinerable alternatives) than comparable spin-on filters, often with a lower user acquisition cost. To help you find the right filter for your application, Donaldson offers standard re-usable bowl or replaceable cartridge filter options for medium pressure applications and over 15 high-pressure options.

Medium-Pressure Assemblies

Medium-pressure filters can often be designed as in-line cartridge-bowl solutions. Typically, these filters are used to collect the debris generated during equipment operation and provide enhanced system component protection. Our medium-pressure filters are rated for maximum operating pressures between 24–138 bar / 350–2,000 psi.

High-Pressure Assemblies

High-pressure filters are positioned between pumps and critical components such as cylinders, motors, and valves. They’re often positioned as the last line of defense in a circuit – placed ahead of highly valuable and sensitive components to help protect them from catastrophic failure and ensure safe and consistent operation.

Donaldson offers a range of high-pressure options so you can choose the right flow and pressure rating for your application. Most options are cast iron to meet the pressure requirements of high-pressure applications, but we do offer some aluminum components for “lower” pressure applications. Our heavy-duty high-pressure filters are rated for maximum operating pressures between 138–450 bar / 2,000–6,500 psi. Various porting sizes and types, including manifold style, are available for a wide range of applications.

FLK Cartridge Assemblies

Our medium-pressure FLK solution is a robust, reusable housing with a disposable cartridge design. To support different design choices, the versatile filter head accommodates multiple housing lengths. Raised hand grips make it easy to remove the housing from the head without special servicing tools and the oil drain port on the bottom of the housing allows cleaner, easier servicing. Additional features include:

Filter tabs that lock into place, simplifying positioning during reassembly
Unique sealing technology that protects systems from harmful ingress contaminants and cross-contamination
RadialSeal™ interface that increases the surface area, providing a robust connection with superior vibration resistance that delivers advanced filtration performance

Donaldson's FLK solution is packed with innovative features that deliver cleaner, error-proof filter servicing. Our proprietary Synteq™ XP media technology delivers better pressure drop and contaminant holding capacity than standard filter media.
