Hydraulic HDK06 Cartridge Assembly

HDK06 filters come in two styles: in-line and tank mount. Both styles feature a die cast aluminum head and steel body for strength and durability; service is made easier with a single, center retention bolt on top of the head. Assemblies come complete with β9(c)=1000 rated Synteq™ filter cartridge. Additional ratings are available, depending on cleanliness requirements.

Cartridge Servicing

1. Check the filter service indicator
   Check to see that the OEM specified service interval has been reached or that the service indicator shows that the filter is due for servicing.
   
   
2. Turn system off and release pressure
   Ensure that the hydraulic system is turned off.
   Check that there is no pressure present.
   
   
3. Unscrew the cover retention bolt (or t-handle) and remove cover, bypass valve and blue plastic baffle.
   
   
4. Inspect and replace any damaged o-ring seals
   
   
5. Remove the used filter and gasket, if applicable
   Properly dispose of the cartridge according to local regulations.
   
   
6. Clean the head seal area and housing
   
   
7. Inspect the new filter cartridge for damage
   Check the new filter you will be installing for any shipping and handling damage. Never install a damaged filter.
   
   
8. Install and lubricate seals and gaskets 
   Lubricate the o-rings, gaskets and housing seals with clean system oil.
   
   
9. Install new cartridge into the housing – install bypass valve and baffle assembly
   
   
10. Align cover with bypass valve "ears" and install – tighten nut to 102 nm / 75 ft.-lbs. 
    
    
11. Bleed the system and check for leaks
