ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 23 -- Donaldson Co., Minneapolis, has been assigned a patent (9,217,399) developed by five co-inventors for "air cleaner arrangements, serviceable filter elements, and, methods." The co-inventors are Randall Allen Engelland, Farmington, Minnesota, Thomas Richard Olson, Prior Lake, Minnesota, Gary Ray Gillingham, Prior Lake, Minnesota, Jim C. Rothman, Burnsville, Minnesota, and Richard Lawrence Suydam, River Falls, Wisconsin. The patent application was filed on Aug. 18, 2014 (14/462,186).
An air cleaner arrangement or assembly is provided. The air cleaner arrangement includes a serviceable filter cartridge. The air cleaner assembly also includes an arrangement for positioning the filter cartridge into a preferred, sealing, orientation and for securing the filter cartridge in that location. Preferred serviceable filter cartridges are provided, as well as methods of assembly and use.
