Individual Development Plans

Every year, Donaldson Company employees work with their managers to create a customized Individual Development Plan (IDP). This process starts with the employee’s career and/or developmental goals. Then the employee and their manager identify the actions needed to best leverage and support the person’s strengths and development needs.

Mentoring Programs

Donaldson Company sponsors individual and group mentoring programs to encourage and support the learning and growth of our people. Oftentimes, employees and mentor partner relationships continue long after the formal mentoring program has ended.

Employee Assistance

We financially assist those employees who wish to pursue additional degrees and certifications while working at Donaldson. Whether employees are pursuing a job-related degrees, technical studies or relevant courses, we help support these efforts through our employee assistance program.

Training Opportunities

Donaldson employees are encouraged to take advantage of a variety of internal educational and training options. Employees can enrol and participate in both classroom and virtual learning offerings, depending on where they are located, and can elect to:

Apprenticeship & Learnership

Our internships provide ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain real world experience in their field of study. You will be a part of a collaborative, cross-functional team and benefit from direct mentorships, lunch-and-learn events and a myriad of networking opportunities. Being a good corporate citizen is an important part of the Donaldson culture, so our interns also volunteer at charitable organizations.

Graduate Development Program

Our Graduate Development Program (GDP) is available to recent university graduates with good results. Participants can accelerate a career in manufacturing, operations and/or supply chain leadership. Over a 24-month period, highly mobile and motivated individuals experience several rotational assignments at one or more of our manufacturing locations. Each assignment introduces you to crucial roles in manufacturing operations and related functions, including areas like engineering, purchasing, and logistics and supply chain.
