By-Pass Filtration Protects Diesel Engines From Damaging Fine Particles

Overview

Our 118 mm by-pass lube assembly product features a strong, durable head and by-pass (secondary) filter. It's designed to divert a small portion (-10%) of the system's oil flow back to the sump or oil pan before reaching the primary filter. This secondary system captures smaller contaminants than full-flow filters. Because of the increased efficiency, this filter will be more restrictive and should be located in a separate (by-pass) flowpath. On the upside, it gives you a much finer level of contamination control, keeping your oil and lube system clean.

Lube Spin-On
  1. Unscrew and remove the old filter and gasket. 
    Properly dispose of the used filter according to local regulations

  2. Wipe filter head with a clean cloth

  3. Fill with oil on the dirty side per engine manufacturer recommendations

  4. Apply a thin film of clean motor oil to the gasket

  5. Align threads and spin on filter until gasket contact

  6. Follow icons on filter to tighten

  7. Check oil level

  8. Start engine and check for leaks

  9. Stop engine and recheck oil level
