For an engine manufacturer customer, fuel injector failures were creating high costs and damaging their reputation. This customer approached us to find the root cause of the issue, provide a solution and help rebuild relationships.

Filters need to be robust to withstand the heavy engine vibrations of an off-road agriculture environment. To meet our customer’s requirements, we proposed a better-sealing design, higher efficiency filter media, and lower restriction.

Donaldson engineers were asked to replace the incumbent air cleaner system with a higher-performing, exclusive solution that also helped them meet more stringent engine emissions mandates.

Water in fuel was causing premature injector failure. Donaldson’s coalescing media technology helped remove water from fuel and reduce high-cost injector failure.
