Why Donaldson

While each Donaldson location has a unique product focus, they are alike in one key regard: an unwavering commitment to product quality, and the safety and support of those who make such quality possible. When the success (or failure) of our filtration products is measured in microns – a micron is one-millionth of a meter – only the best in production will do.

Just as Donaldson strives to produce the best, we also seek to employ the best. The result? A series of highly skilled, collaborative work environments around the world, in which our employees care as much about one another as they do about our company’s product offerings.

Safety in the Workplace

Your safety in our workplace is of the highest importance. You will be thoroughly and regularly trained so that you and your colleagues have the knowledge and tools needed to make effective decisions regarding workplace safety and risk mitigation. This encourages everyone to take ownership of their own safety, as well as contribute to a collective safety culture.

A Culture of Safety Excellence

Donaldson’s Latin America Distribution Center (LADC) in Mexico recently celebrated 12 straight years without any recordable incidents – a huge achievement! This distribution center is a critical hub for managing the shipment of incoming materials and finished products. Working there requires constant vigilance to ensure all employees handle heavy loads safely and without injury. This distribution center has become a model of operational excellence to the entire Donaldson organization. The LADC leadership team credits its success to employees developing a culture of mutual care.

Fostering a LEAN and Six Sigma Culture

Donaldson believes in working smarter throughout all of our production processes and practices. That is why we emphasize LEAN and Six Sigma production floors. We also offer a Lean Green Belt training program, which empowers team members with practical tools, structured methodologies, and a disciplined approach to problem-solving. It goes beyond theory—providing hands-on experience that enables individuals to identify wastes, reduce inefficiencies, and create lasting value throughout the organization. This approach is instrumental in building a culture of continuous improvement.

Community Involvement

Donaldson is committed to enriching our communities and making a positive impact in the world. This is why we consistently give back, supporting the places where we live and work by sharing our time, talents, and resources. Many Donaldson employees spearhead programs and events that are meaningful to their communities. These activities include food drives, tree-planting days, youth and elderly support programs, and fundraising through programs like MS150, Miles for Smiles, and Ecochallenge. Donaldson also donates more than $1 million each year to a range of programs and events through the Donaldson Foundation.
