LifeTec™ P-GSL N Steam Filter Element
The Donaldson LifeTec™ P-GSL N is a regenerable, pleated, stainless steel steam filter cartridge that captures contaminants such as particles, abrasion of valves and sealings, and rust. It can be used in higher capacity applications where low pressure drop and reduced space are critical.
All components meet the USA requirements for Food Contact Use in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 21, and the EU requirements for Food Contact Use according to 1935/2004/EC, making it a reliable food grade steam filter.
Features
- Absolute particulate retention rates at 1 to 250 microns in steam
- 100% stainless steel construction, contains no binders, adhesives, additives, or surfactants
- Pleated, stainless steel media
- Regenerable by back-flushing or ultrasonic cleaning
- Higher flow rates at a low pressure drop
- Longer service life which leads to a lower cost of ownership
Applications
- Pre-Filtration (Entrainment Separator)
- Direct injection cooking
- Sterilize-in-Place (SIP)
- Peeling
- Pasteurization
- Sanitizing

P-GS Steam Filter Element
Donaldson® P-GS elements are designed for filtering steam and gases.
Filtered steam is required whenever steam comes in direct contact with food product or product contact surfaces. It is also necessary to protect sterile filter integrity when using steam to sterilize filter elements. Filtered steam is recommended for the protection of precision modulating system components like pressure reducing valves, and to maintain efficiency of any heat transfer equipment.
All components meet the USA requirements for Food Contact Use in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 21, and the EU requirements for Food Contact Use according to 1935/2004/EC, making it a reliable food grade steam filter.
