Overview

Engineered for hydrogen volume flows from 220 Nm3/h up to 22.000 Nm3/h in a pressure range from 16 to 47 bar, the Donaldson HRC-T adsorption dryer and De-Oxo unit can help achieve the required purity levels.

Depending on sizing, operating conditions, and level of impurities at the inlet of the unit, purity levels of residual water content and residual oxygen content of <5 ppm can be achieved.

The HRC-T adsorption dryer features special desiccants with high adsorption capacity to help reduce the moisture in the hydrogen while the De-Oxo unit uses a catalyst to convert residual oxygen and hydrogen into water, thereby helping reduce the oxygen content in the hydrogen stream.

A portion of heated hydrogen is used to regenerate the saturated desiccant by desorbing the water molecules. The gas is then cooled and reintroduced into the mainstream, providing zero loss.

The unit’s pressure vessels and pipelines are constructed of steel to avoid mechanical stressing of components during pressure load cycling.

Features

Zero Hydrogen Loss Regeneration

An innovative regeneration process allows cooled, pressurized hydrogen from the dryer loop to be redirected into the main flow, eliminating gas loss.

Standard Pre- and After-Filters

High-efficiency filters featuring innovative UltraPleat™ media technology add to purification with the removal of solid particles and oil and water aerosols.

ATEX Compliance

Purification system is suitable and CE-marked and documented for operation in ATEX Zone 2 hazardous areas.

Compact Design

All system components assembled and mounted on a space-saving skid.
