Managing Exhausts Too Hot to Handle

From super-hot (single wall) to not-so-hot (forced cooling with venturi), we have the thermal management system for your needs. Keeping gas temperatures high but operators protected is an important requirement for emission control systems. The outer body wall temperature decreases depending on the type of thermal management system used. Donaldson offers a range of thermal management solutions depending on your budget and system skin temperature requirements.

Uninsulated Single Wall System

The uninsulated single wall system can be used when cost is a key driver and there are no requirements around system skin temperatures.

Double-Wall System With Air Gap

The double-wall system with air gap is robust and easy to clamp or attach to machines. These systems are relatively low-cost options

Double-Wall With Insulated Gap

Compared to the air gap option, the double-wall with insulated gap system provides a significant increase in insulating performance with a relatively minor increase in cost.

Insulated Shell

The insulated shell is a durable structure of formed insulation material with a corrugated metal (stainless steel or aluminum) foil shell. It’s a cost-effective way to provide high-performing insulating qualities. The insulated shell is also the most comprehensive insulation coverage of all components, including clamps and joints, virtually eliminating localized system “hot spots.”
